Marina & Ulay:
“Marina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from one end, meeting for one last big hug in the middle and never seeing each other again. at her 2010 MoMa retrospective Marina performed ‘The Artist Is Present’ as part of the show, a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Ulay arrived without her knowing it and this is what happened.”
I’ve seen this so many times…
And I’m pretty sure this is why I always wanted to have a loft…
I always saw myself living in a loft…

NEW YORK, NY - The remains of tower number 2 of the World Trade Center lie behind an office at one Liberty Plaza at first light on September 12, 2001. (Photo by Jonathan Torgovnik/Reportage by Getty images).
This was a place I knew. I have memories at the World Trade Centers. I’ve been couped up in an office all day. Telling everyone I talked to what the date was. I felt a certain way every time I had to say it. September 11th. The date that changed a nation. We collectively experienced this event together. For a moment, we as Americans, were all in one accord. I love this country. I love this life. I am always looking forward to living it more. Find triumph in tragedy.
